1997 saw the release of IMPENDING DOOM's first full-length Caedes Sacrilegae. Clocking in at almost 1 hour, the ambitious album represents the culmination of the band's artistic accomplishments of the first era. Made up of four reinterpretations of old songs from Messias Abaddon and Pagan Fires, while the rest of the album's ten tracks consisted of brand-new material, Caedes Sarilegae, showcased the band at its most melodious.
