Despite the fact that the tracks on Pagan Fires - Promo 96 are still informed by Doom- and Death Metal parts, Thrash- and especially Black Metal influences have now been introduced to IMPENDING DOOM's soundscape as well. With material considerably enriched by more versatile vocals and the sinister atmospheres of Black Metal, stand-out tracks like "Aeon of Dreams" or "Pagan Fires" have not lost an inch of their impact in the 30 years since their initial release.
